The President of Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE), Mr. George Patoulis invites you to a press conference on Wednesday 11 July 2018, at 13:30, at the offices of KEDE, Akadimias 76 and Gennadiou 8 Str., Athens. Mr. Patoulis will present the initiative of KEDE to establish a new Office of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece, which will connect the Hellenes Abroad with their homeland.
Presidents of the major Hellenic Societies around the world will come to Athens following the invitation of the President of KEDE, Mr. George Patoulis, on a special meeting at KEDE headquarters for launching the new Office of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece for the Greek Diaspora.
The Presidents of the American, Canadian, Australian and African Hellenic Communities and Associations will be speaking at the Press Conference after the meeting and will discuss the prospects of the substantial contribution of the Hellenes Abroad to Greece’s Growth and Development on local and Regional Government level, aiming at a better interaction with the Greek municipalities from now on, always assisted by KEDE.
Practical, important and other bureaucratic issues encountered by the Greeks living abroad having to do with their place of origin in Greece and the Municipality they come from will also be discussed. Additionally, the New Office will support the prospects based on the right of Greeks abroad and expatriates to vote in the Greek National Elections.
